Lita Rossana Ford is popularly referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed within the world of rock. The group did not have an enormous following within the United States. However, their popularity grew overseas especially in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup of her group in 1979. After taking voice lessons, Ford released her first single album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin at the Edge". Ford disappeared from rock for some time after the albums did not be a huge success. The smash hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. But her fame was only short-lived and she vanished in the world of music for many years. Her re-emergence was with the albums "Black" in 1995, and "Wicked Wonderland" nearly 15 years after. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule" was launched in 2016.
