Pickler was born Kellie dawn Pickler on June 28, 1986. She had a turbulent childhood. To get rid of her abusive boyfriend, Pickler's mother resigned when she was just 2 years older. She came back into Pickler's world in 1995 when she became the mother of her. It did not work out very well. Pickler went back to her parents when she was 12 years old. The grandparents helped her through to adulthood. Pickler had to be busy with her children in the absence of their parents. She confessed that, in absence of her parents, Pickler's schedule was so busy that she could not go to school. In the meantime, she began to teach herself how to care for her family earlier in age. Pickler was a member of the cheerleading teams of her middle and high school. In 2004, she graduated at North Stanly High School. Pickler tried out her luck as a beauty queen.
