Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal advocate and writer who was awarded numerous awards. Her films include Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus ( 1969) and The Getaway ( 1972). She was raised by an artist family from New York and wanted to pursue a career in art. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant, and then turned to modeling and acting. MacGraw was noticed in her first two movies and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's movie Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world recognition as well as several awards including an Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. The film was recognized as the most successful box office star in the world in just three movies. Handprints, signatures and footprints were engraved in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. Additionally, to The Getaway Convoy Players she also starred in the television series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography was published. MacGraw was married to three individuals.
